Dental Assistants are responsible for performing a variety of office, laboratory, and clinical duties. During dental visits, the assistants will work alongside the dentist in order to help with a range of procedures.
Dental Assistants will often times take x-rays, ask the patient about medical history, provide patients with pre and post-op instructions, take impressions of teeth, perform administrative duties and help to provide direct patient care in all aspects.
The median annual wage for dental assistants is $41,170 per year as of May 2019. Please visit https://www.bls.gov/oes/current/oes319091.htm for more information.
